New video card and Lush soap
Sep. 18th, 2011 09:43 pmI went to a computer fair yesterday, (Saturday 17th September) and bought a new video card for the pc and all is going well so far. It's been interesting to see how they have changed since I built this pc. The other one was quite heavy with a fairly solid heat sink in it.
This new one is a lot smaller, lighter in weight, but runs faster and 23 degrees Celsius cooler than the old one. So a lot better for the rest of the system, but it has even smoother graphics than the old card and the same amount of memory. The new one is using a chip made by AMD, the first time I have departed from my usual gpu maker of Nvidia.
-------------------------------
Last Thursday I was in the center of Canberra, looking for some winter clothes, (a search in vain in the end) and on the way out of the main shopping center I saw a Lush shop and since I keep reading about Lush products on LJ and other places, I thought why not and went in to have a look and bought a soap called Karma as it looked and smelt nice.
Tried it in the shower and it lathered up well and think it worked better on my skin than normal soap does. I've been using a liquid soap for my hands for a long time now. Still think it's funny buying soap in a pie slice shape though.
