I am still around, just don't have as much energy for doing things these days. Get very tired during the day, so model building has slowed down a lot. I have several ships to get finished off and it will happen one day. The ships are the KMS Bismarck, HMS Hood, HMS Sovereign of the Seas, HMS Victory, HMB Endeavour and the Black Pearl.

HMS Sovereign of the Seas

I have also been slowly building Warhammer figures and vehicles and had two games so far, (lost both) - one day I will have a win. :)

21 September I am off to Norway and England for a holiday. In Norway I will be cruising along the coast north and south, then flying to England for a model railway exhibition and holiday. I am flying Singapore Airlines.

In 2019 I am hoping to cruise to Cananda with Holland America line and after going across Canada by train I want to cruise across the Atlantic Ocean to England and then fly home.

My model railway is progressing very slowly, but more work will happen after the holiday if all goes to plan.

Work is pregressing on the Black Pearl with quite a bit done since the last post. In the end I decided to keep the build as it was and not go changing it to a fully enclosed hull. One change I have done is to not use the printed deck planking, which looked awful, so the decks are plan free.

I have started building the Black Pearl partwork and finding that mdf is not all that bad to deal with. Main thing is the way the glue sinks into the fibreboard, so having to use a bit more than I thought I would of pva. I am thinking of changing the build and not having an open side to the model as it just looks weird, so will problaly have to get some extra issues from the newsagent.

Photos of the build so far.

Work has restarted on the HMS Victory with hull planking being added at the stern. Just hope I am using the right planks for it. Also I am still waiting on 2 issues for the HMS Hood to come in to the newsagent. They have been missing for months, just hope I don't have to get them off ebay.

Really should update this community more often. Work will get going again on the HMB Endeavour and the HMS Hood sometime and I have started to collect the HMS Sovereign Of The Seas partwork.

I have my own LJ community, based on model ships. I have photos of my HMB Endeavour build on it and once I have managed to get the HMS Victory, I will add photos of that to the community as well.

Hopefully this is what my HMB Endeavour will come out like. :)

Have a great, prosperous and safe new year everyone.

Now to try and work out how to use the airbrush I was given for Christmas, then I can get on with some major painting of the various model ships I have on the go right now.

Trying to work out what ship to do next, either something easy or something very hard!!!
